Ever Expanding Waistline

I walked downstairs yesterday morning holding the camera and Jason said, "Oh you must be feeling good today." He knows not every day can be picture day.


I'm officially at 34 weeks. Time is really flying by now. And the belly just keeps growing. The little one has been dancing up a storm the last couple of days. Yesterday I was really craving sugar so she may have been on some sort of sugar high and bouncing off the walls, so to speak.
Next week will start the weekly doctor's visits so I'm sure the time will go even faster after that. Right now she's seems to be resting mostly under my diaphragm so I don't expect she'll be making her escape anytime soon.

29 Weeks Down...

That means there are only 11 weeks to go. gulp. I'm excited to have the baby but it's a little overwhelming how quickly the time is passing. There is still a lot to do to prepare, but at the moment I'm not feeling too stressed out by it all. Mostly I try not to think about the fact we may not have a kitchen when she comes home from the hospital. But she doesn't need a kitchen anyway. And shouldn't every newborn be introduced to a construction site as soon as possible?

I had Jason take this little snapshot before I headed off to work this morning. Actually I made him take several over the last two days until I found one where i wasn't completely appalled by my hair. I'm getting it cut next week.

If you zoom in on my earlobe you can see I'm wearing my new earrings from Circle and Sprout. This is my cousin Sarah's new venture. These are very simple "pebble" studs that I'm using as my everyday earrings, but she and her friend have a lot of great designs so give 'em a look.

23 Weeks and Growing Strong

It's been a while since Jason and I have been coordinated enough to get a picture of my belly when I didn't feel like I was recently run over by a truck. The little one is growing right along and moving like crazy. She's our little dancing queen. I've been singing show tunes to her in the shower so she'll probably come out with jazz hands. That's our girl!

The Bump Grows On

We're in week 18 now. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm excited to hear that little heartbeat again.
My apologies for not posting a weekly photo last week. I suspect if i had the bump would have looked bigger than this week, thus causing confusion. Jason was out of town and I occupied my time primarily by stuffing my face with an entire frozen pizza and half a homemade quiche.


I feel like this picture makes it look like i have two bumps or that I'm strangling my poor child with a tight waist band, but really that's just the shape of my body right now. I think I'm carry low so you can all speculate if that means a boy or a girl or if the width of my hips simply allows for more baby room below the waist.

The Bump

The bump has been growing. My pants have gotten progressively tighter since the get go but this week was the first week I had a shirt feel too tight. I'm working with the cowl to balance the belly. I'll be 16 weeks on Tuesday. Look forward to more updates.
